JIMENA
2011-12 Student Internship

JIMENA Interns will:
• Serve as informed JIMENA ambassadors on campus
• Chair and mobilize a JIMENA student committee in charge of planning at least one JIMENA program on campus per semester
• Design and complete their own JIMENA inspired research project
• Participate in an orientation and semester-end project exhibition and celebration;
• Build relationships between the JIMENA student committee and other campus organizations
• Participate in monthly calls with JIMENA staff and a mid-semester conference call with other Interns
• Meet regularly with advising academic staff (if earning college credit)
• Meet all requirements in a timely, professional manner

What will Interns Receive?

• A $200 stipend (awarded in two $100 installments: mid-semester and at semester’s end)

JIMENA: Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa, is a non-profit organization which seeks recognition for and preserves the rich cultural history of the nearly one million Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews who were displaced from their country of origin.
