DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Congregation Beth Ora will welcome JIMENA Speaker and JJAC President, Mr. Sylvain Abitbol for a screening of the Forgotten Refugees film followed by a presentation. Mr. Syivain Abitbol was born in Morocco and fled with his family following the Six-Day War in 1967. Mr. Abitbol settled in Montreal where he became a successful engineer and entrepreneur.  As a leader of the Canadian Jewish community, Mr. Abitbol served as the former President of the Canadian Jewish Congress and President of Montreal's Federation CJA.  Mr. Abitobol is an international leader in the Mizrahi justice movement, serving as JJAC President and international ambassador of Jews from North Africa and the Middle East.  Following the film screening, Mr. Abitbol will share anecdotes of his personal story, talk about current events related to justice for Jews from Arab countries, and answer questions.
