Communications Director

 Kouichi Shirayanagi graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Economics and Mathematics. While in University, he interned for the American Jewish Congress through the University of California’s UCDC program. He worked in several Congressional Offices in Washington DC lastly as a Legislative Fellow for the House Foreign Relations Committee. Between 2010 and 2011 he traveled extensively in the Middle East and North Africa and worked as an editor and writer for Tunisia’s first independent English news site, Tunisia Live. He was a freelance journalist for the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and his writing on the Jewish Community in Tunisia has appeared in the Times of Israel, Haaretz, Jerusalem Post and the Guardian of London.
