• 1913: Leo Frank, an innocent man, was accused of murdering a teenage girl in Atlanta and was sentenced to death. He was taken from jail and lynched by a mob. (2)
  • 1920s: Henry Ford published a series of articles in his newspaper, The Dearborn Independent, which accused Jews of being part of a worldwide conspiracy based on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. (2)
  • 1930s: Father Charles Edward Coughlin, a Detroit-based radio host drew up to 30 million listeners to his weekly program, on which he spewed antisemitic messages. (2)
  • 1940s: Universities had strict quotas on the numbers of Jewish students accepted into their programs. (2)
  • 2017: “Unite the Right” rally, in Charlottesville, Virginia when 500-600 marchers waved swastika flags and shouted “Jews will not replace us.” (1)
  • 2018: Anti-Defamation League analyses online data and finds that 4.2 million antisemitic tweets were shared over a 12-month period. (1)
  • 1950s – 2018: A number of Jewish synagogues and communal institutions are violently attacked, culminating in the 2018 shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where 11 people were murdered.
