JIMENA as an organization was built on a theory of change the ultimately ends with redress and inclusion of Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews and their descendants, uniformly articulated across all branches of US government policy and mainstream Jewish communal life. There are no other organizations in the USA that are pursuing justice for and recognition of Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews in the realms of both advocacy and Jewish communal life. Our work in these two spheres are symbiotic and will ultimately help us achieve our end goal of acknowledgment and redress. Our programming builds strong communities and networks of Jewish and non-Jewish individuals and institutions who share an interest and passion for our objectives and who are actively helping us achieve our end goal.
