JIMENA is excited to invite leaders in the Bay Area Jewish community to participate in the second cohort of our Sephardic Leaders Fellowship. This unique six-month fellowship will provide Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish communal professional and lay leaders with opportunities for community building, learning, and leadership development. An international network of Sephardic and Mizrahi rabbis, scholars, activists, and civic leaders will empower and train fellows with traditional Sephardic knowledge related to Jewish leadership, community building, DEI, Jewish-Muslim relations, antisemitism, and relevant topics. Fellows will share knowledge gained during the program with their local Jewish agencies in an effort to help them build more diverse and inclusive communities that better represent Sephardic and Mizrahi heritage.

We are only a few months in and I already find the JIMENA Sephardic Fellowship to be one of the most interesting and personally meaningful programs I have participated in. The scholars that have presented to the group have been outstanding and the immediate camaraderie I felt with this group is unlike anything I have experienced before in a Jewish communal setting,” Paul Geduldig, CEO of Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
