Empress of Empowerment: An Interview with A-WA's Tair Haim
A-WA, the band of sisters Tair, Liron, and Tagel Haim, blends the folk songs of Yemenite Jewish women with hip hop and other modern sounds. Tair Haim talks about the grandparents and family celebrations that connected the sisters to their Yemenite heritage, and why she sees their music as a source of empowerment for women.
