Education is at the heart of JIMENA's mission. Through innovative curricula, educator training, institutional partnerships, and community engagement, we work to ensure that Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish histories, identities, and experiences are accurately represented and meaningfully integrated in educational spaces. Our programs equip educators, students, and community leaders with the knowledge and tools to foster a deeper understanding of Jewish peoplehood & the Middle East, understand and address contemporary antisemitism, and integrate Sephardic heritage and history into every element of school culture.
Explore classroom-ready lesson plans, educational toolkits, and teaching resources that bring the rich histories, cultures, and experiences of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews into K–12 education. These materials help educators broaden Jewish representation, enrich existing curricula, and engage students in meaningful learning.

JIMENA works to ensure that Jewish histories, identities, and experiences are accurately and meaningfully represented in public education. Through curriculum development, educator training, and policy advocacy, we challenge harmful stereotypes and advance the inclusion of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish perspectives and histories in educational frameworks.

JIMENA engages college students and young adults through cultural experiences, educational programs, leadership opportunities, and community partnerships that celebrate Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish heritage. From campus initiatives and holiday celebrations to identity exploration and young professional networks, our programs strengthen Jewish identity, cultivate emerging leaders, and build connections across diverse Jewish communities.
