Suddenly, a Refugee
In June 1967, as rioters burned her father's warehouse and threatened her family's home, nineteen year old Gina Bublil Waldman went into hiding in Tripoli. She recounts how her family escaped Libya, with the help of a bribed officer and British contacts, and flew through Malta to a new life as refugees.
