Rabbi Ephraim Alnaqua, a rabbi and physician who fled the persecutions of 1391 in Spain, became the revered spiritual founder of Jewish Tlemcen. Didier Nebot, honorary president of Morial, discusses his 2026 book on Alnaqua, which includes a translation of a manuscript the rabbi wrote, and his discovery of some 500 rare rabbinic manuscripts at Oxford's Bodleian Library.
