Part of Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews in the United States: Identities, Experiences, and Communities, the national study commissioned by JIMENA and led by Dr. Mijal Bitton with a research team based at New York University. This report profiles the Persian Jewish community of Los Angeles. The 2021 Los Angeles Jewish Community Study counted 22,500 Persian Jews, while community leaders estimate 50,000 to 70,000.
